2009-2010 E-Conference: Charlottesville
You are invited back to Charlottesville for Darden's first E-Conference on November 19 and 20. The E-Conference offers entrepreneurial and innovative alumni the opportunity to network, compare notes, and decide if taking the plunge is right for you. Thursday afternoon will include panels of alumni entrepreneurs sharing with students their experiences either as serial entrepreneurs or as corporate managers who decided to take the plunge at different points in their careers. Friday morning we will be welcomed by the VP of Research at UVa to learn about the University's plans to restructure the innovation process, as well as the centers of scientific and technology excellence at the University. Following this introduction, a panel of experts involved in clean tech and carbon trading will discuss the business opportunities and challenges for both entrepreneurs and companies looking to innovate while adapting to a new set of rules.
